We love to follow the work of interior designers who create environments that are functional, stylish, and comforting to the soul. One such designer is Tammara Stroud, owner of Tammara Stroud Design, a Seattle-based, full service design firm specializing in fresh, modern approaches to interior spaces.
“Our goal is to successfully blend function and beauty,” Tammara says. Her firm was announced a Best of Houzz winner in January. The wildly popular website was where Tammara first discovered Barn Light Electric and she knew our rustic warehouse shades would be perfect for a bathroom she was remodeling.
“My clients are remodeling the home they purchased two years ago in Seattle,” Tammara explains. “The focus is to give the home a lake house, rustic feel. We are using natural stones, reclaimed woods, and rustic finish elements to achieve the look.” Tammara chose two 12″ Original™ Warehouse Gooseneck Lights in a Galvanized finish for the space. When Tammara received the fixtures, she decided that the gooseneck arm didn’t quite fit the space, so she installed the lights from above instead.
“The lighting needed to be bright enough to illuminate the bathroom as well as to shave and put makeup on,” she says. “The style fit the design focus and the galvanized finish worked well with the tiles and wood tones we selected.”
The Original™ Warehouse Shade remains one of our most popular fixtures thanks to its generous downlighting and the dozens of ways it can be customized to fit almost any design scheme and space. This American made classic light is available in sizes ranging from 12″ to 28″ and can be flush or stem mounted, cord hung, or installed as a wall sconce. Fifteen long-lasting powder coat finish colors ar available for The Original™ and our most recent addition to this family is The Original™ Copper Stem Mount Pendant hand spun from solid copper.
Both Tammara and her clients are pleased with their remodeling results.
“We like both the function and the aesthetics of the new lights,” Tammara says. “The bathroom is very cool and my clients love it.”
