Featured Customer | Floor Lamp Brings Portable Style to Living Room

Contrary to millions of Pinterest pins and Houzz ideabooks, you don’t always need a full-blown makeover to change up a room’s look. Accent pieces can make a big impact!

Today’s featured customer, Kelly from Lewes, Delaware, found that adding a floor lamp to her living room not only gave her much-needed reading light, but also gave the space a fresh look!

“There was no light on that side of the room so I needed a floor lamp,” Kelly says. “The most comfortable chair in the room is there, but I had no light to read by.” Kelly searched online for a suitable lamp but struggled to find the right look.

“Buying American made is nice, but the right look is important too,” she notes. “We looked at LOTS of lamps, but nothing spoke to us.” That is, until she discovered the Getty Floor Lamp from Barn Light Electric.

Kelly fell in love with the colors available for this handcrafted floor lamp. She chose a Teal finish with a Galvanized stem. There are 20 powder coat colors to choose from and 10 paint-to-match colors from our porcelain enamel palette. A dozen cording options add even more panache to the floor lamp while an inline switch makes operating the lamp a breeze.

“We are 10 minutes away from the beach so there are a lot of teal, green, and sandy colors all over,” she explains. “It was the perfect color to complement the furniture and we love the retro look of it.”

The Circle B and the Fluted Shade Floor Lamps both have 10″ shades which offer a wider spread of light with shallow shades. All of the lamps in our Floor Lamp Collection can be customized with finish color plus stem and cording options to suit most any décor!
