Featured Customer | New Master Bath Channels Industrial Style with Rustic Pendant

In Monday’s post, we visited with Kelly in Rochester, Indiana, where she and her husband recently moved into their stunning new pole barn home crafted by AC Builders. The structure sits proudly on the family farm where the couple grow field corn and soybeans and an old blue silo keeps watch in the distance. Kelly chose her half bath off the kitchen to bring the barn look indoors with some farm antiques and an Outback Gooseneck Light highlighting an apron front sink. Today we check out Kelly’s inviting master bath.

“I wanted this room to feel like a luxurious, cozy fishing lodge,” Kelly explains. “We went with mostly all knotty pine in this room except where the vanities hang.” When the room was finished, Kelly wasn’t quite happy with the look however.

“It was almost too fancy and needed something to create a more rustic feel,” she says. Kelly chose the Barn Light Wire Guard Industrial Pendant in a Rust finish with Amber glass to hang in the center of the space.

“This light was perfect to hang in front of the window and your eyes are instantly drawn to it setting the rustic cabin atmosphere,” Kelly says. “I love rust. Every room needs at least one rusty piece in it.” Kelly chose the amber glass so the fixture can serve as an accent light that can be turned on as a night light or to create a cozy, relaxing atmosphere while she soaks in the tub. This simple, American made guard-and-glass fixture is wet rated so it can be hung indoors with a cord, like Kelly’s, or outdoors with an optional stem mount. It lends an industrial touch to any residential or commercial setting.

“I love how it sets the atmosphere of the room and creates a place to draw your eyes to,” Kelly states. “It’s a rustic, nautical piece that really makes the space feel like an old fishing cabin.”
