Featured Customer | Porcelain Lighting Favored by Long-Time Customer
Back in early 2012, Erika and her husband Scott were searching for lighting for their home in Celebration, Florida. They’d heard about a lighting company called Barn Light Electric in Titusville, a small town just east of them on the Space Coast. They drove over to check it out. “We were renovating our kitchen at the time, and we wanted to see the lamps in person,” Erika says. “I think that’s when we fell in love.” A Barn Light team member explained how the lights were hand spun on a lathe just like industrial lighting was crafted in the early 20th century. Erika and her husband, both engineers, were fascinated by the process and... Read More

New Deep Bowl Pendants Offer Modern Style, Unrivaled Quality
The ceiling pendant trend shows no sign of slowing down in the coming year, and with everything from a bare bulb on a cord to eclectic chandeliers, there’s a pendant for every room of the house. One of the most popular shade styles is the deep bowl which harkens back to the early days of RLM lighting where factories and other workplaces needed focused downlighting. Today, consumers have embraced deep bowl lighting in the home. Having the bulb tucked deep inside the bowl not only reduces glare, but it allows the fixture itself to become a true focal point in a space. ... Read More

It’s a gathering place for friends, a spot to relax and read, and a hub of information for locals and out-of-towners alike. In Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Café One Eight is a locally owned shop in the heart of the historic downtown. In business for more than four years, the owners decided it was time for a refresh of the space. They turned to Chris and Claudia Beiler of Creative Space Designers to handle the complete remodel. ... Read More

Featured Customer | American-Made Exterior Lighting Adds Final Touch
New siding and windows are a sure-fire way to spruce up a 20+ year-old home. Matt raised the bar, however, with the addition of American-made lighting. “We wanted something American made and solidly built overall,” Matt says. “Not something you get at a big box store. I didn’t want to be replacing lights anytime soon.” Matt started with his garage where he chose two Goodrich® Bomber Porcelain Gooseneck Lights. He customized these porcelain enamel lights with 15″ shades, Black finish, and G11 gooseneck arms. ... Read More

Featured Customer | Barn Lights Offer Casual, Rustic Style
Sometimes you have to raise the roof. Not raise a ruckus, but literally raise the roof. That’s exactly what Jenny and her husband did when they tackled a gut renovation of their Millbrook, New York, home. The major renovation included an addition and rebuild of the second floor. The result is a stunning 6,500-square-foot modern farmhouse chock full of laid-back style. “We were going for a casual, rustic feel throughout with fixtures and finishes that still look good even as style trends change over time,” Jenny says. “Remodeling and design are hobbies that I love and I put together idea books on Houzz to design the spaces.” ...
