When you’re on the hunt for inspiration, Instagram always delivers. We are awed each day by the photos our customers post and the creativity they show in designing their spaces. We’ve seen a lot of beautiful bathroom spaces of late (yes, bathrooms can, and should be, beautiful!) and we wanted to share some of these on the blog today.
Often an afterthought, vanity lighting plays a crucial role in the illumination of your bathroom. The starting block where you stand each morning to assess the day, prep the teeth, and fix the face needs adequate lighting that’s up to the task. Vanity lighting can also serve as a stylish focal point in these smaller... Read More
Building a new home brings on a host of decisions once the bones are in place. What type of floors, countertops, cabinetry, and yes, what type of lighting will go in each space? When Aaron set about building his dream home in the community of Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms in South Carolina, he had plenty of lighting decisions to make.
“Having American made, locally sourced lighting with LED were all important aspects to this build,” Aaron says. “The ability to customize colors, castings, and illumination were highly appreciated too!” Aaron works for Realty Holding Group who provided extensive design build services for his new... Many remodeling projects take a space from one decade into the next. In Susan’s case, her kitchen took a giant leap from the 1980s right into the next century. Her “older” condo, located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, needed a serious kitchen update.

Debbie, an obsessed quilter, (her words, not mine) built a studio next to her Outer Banks home where she and her friends could quilt. Bright, direct lighting was imperative to the space.
“Our house is an Old Nags Head-style shingle house, and we designed the studio to look like a logical addition,” Debbie says. “We wanted an old-style building with bright colors, especially red. I wanted lighting that would work with the old-school exterior and the reclaimed wood floors.”

While many people opt to live near their workplace to cut down on commuting, Courtney and Aristides choose to live where their hearts belong. And that magical place is on the Rockaway Peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens. Avid surfers, the couple wanted a place close to the ocean with easy access to the waves.
“We both may work a little far from where we live, but the natural beauty and solitude on the peninsula coupled with great surf makes it too hard for us to give up,” Courtney says. “It’s a really nice sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.” An independent interior designer, Courtney works in both residential...
