A Lesson On How To Standout

Barn Light Electric-Atomic-Sconce

Set within the enriched hillside of the Napa Valley, sits a great example of a modernly updated farm house from the 1930’s. This featured home comes to us courtesy of Remodelista, a fantastic resource for inspirational home design ideas. Explored in one of their latest postings is this appealing transformation from rural country home to the epitome of industrial elegance. Upon first look at the outside of this home the soft gray siding has a blue tint to it, which is the perfect contrast to the lush foliage and vineyards that encompasses this area. This muted façade is the perfect canvas for the complimentary grays that appear on the galvanized accents on and around this house. One of the accents featured on the side of this home is our galvanized Atomic Topless Cast Guard CGU Sconces, a 100w fixture with numerous finish and glass choices. The minimalist design of this fixture makes it the ideal addition to this rustic standout, with the corrugated steel fence and awning complimenting this lighting fixture. Also providing a contrast to this sconce is the addition of the pea gravel yard that greatly validates the industrial appearance that this homeowner was intending, and causes the colors to pop from this sterile setting. This clean modern home is a refreshing contrast to the classic barn style homes that sprung up all over the Napa countryside in the early 20th century, and provides us with a lesson on how to think outside of the box to design something unique and inspiring.
